Quality of Life

I know we all love our small town feel, but we are 63,000 residents and more than 2,100 businesses now. It takes careful planning, experience, and hard work to preserve Wylie’s unique character and prevent it from becoming just another suburb of the metroplex.

If we want to Keep Wylie “Wylie” then we need folks to get out and vote for proven, effective leadership that is Focused on Wylie!

INFRASTRUCTURE

As the city continues build out, and the communities in Lavon, Nevada, and beyond continue to grow and use our roads for their commutes, we need careful planning and cooperation with the counties and the state to ensure we have safe, efficient, and well-maintained roads. Clean drinking water and sanitation need continual attention to ensure the service we have come to expect, and we need to continue working with the NTMWD to make sure we continue to get the best value for our dollars.

RESPONSIBLE SPENDING

We've done great work in Wylie in recent years to spend taxpayer dollars wisely Continued efforts, smart planning, and attracting the right businesses to Wylie will help us to do even greater work at balancing the needs of the city with the need to lower the tax rate.

QUALITY OF LIFE

Good restaurants, shopping, and fun activities come to mind here, and a key part of it is getting the right businesses to come to Wylie that offer these things. Tens of thousands of people drive through Wylie everyday, and with the continued expansion out towards Farmersville there will be thousands more in the coming years. With smart planning we can take advantage of our strategic location between the growing areas to the northeast and the metroplex to the southwest.
